Last week I went to see KALEO as part of Lake Morey's FREE summer concert series and all I can say is it was amazing! If you have been on the fence about going this year, you should. I think we all are craving more in person offerings and whether we can put our finger on it or not, I think a big part of it is craving feeling collective effervescence. (Collective effervescence is a sociological concept, coined by Émile Durkheim, describing the feeling of energy, excitement, and connection that arises when people gather in groups for a shared purpose. It's a sense of belonging and unity that transcends individual experiences, often felt at events like concerts, sporting events, or religious gatherings. This feeling can be powerful, creating a sense of awe and even making people feel part of something larger than themselves.) And that is so much of what a concert or community class offers, it's not just the music, the views, the rising moon, the movements, or the release of tension, but it the feeling of sharing an experience with other people and we need more of this!

Hope to see you next week or be on the lookout for more pop-up class offerings!
